AUTHOR & INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER

BENNETT_5Begining  her walk with Christ on April 25, 1986 at 9:05 AM was a life changing experience that truly began her life, again.  Coming from a “normal dysfunctional” family, she loves being an Aunt to over 22 “characters”of different shapes, sizes and even colors. Her sense of humor and compassionate heart leads her to serve where she can when she can. Starting with her family and friends then branching out to her church and then to her community.

She has served on short term mission projects in five different countries as she worked her way through college studying Business and Human Resource Administration.  God was  molding not just her character but her heart.  Serving on short term missions in India, the Dominican Republic and then Poland with Kingdom Building Ministries, (WWW.KBM.ORG).  She began to choose friends who were challenging and supportive.  Which lead her to serve with a friend, (who is a Registered Nurse), with  Medical Missions International, MMI, (WWW.MMI.ORG). Linda went as a General Helper leaving the details to God as to what she was to do.  She was a  chair side Dental Assistant, although she had no experience in the dental field, she was able to assist as a Dentist pulled teeth and she caught them.  No drills, no special equipment, just a good catch.  She then went with a  team from the Free Methodist Church to Brazil and helped in construction of a church. Laying bricks was not her forte after rigorous training from her leader Pastor Brian Hall. Linda choose to mix cement and “smile”. She had studied up on her basic Spanish skills but two weeks before she landed in Brazil she discovered the spoken language was Portuguese. Oops!

She worked in the Human Resource  field and quickly learned the phrase, first hand,  ”Due to a Corporate Restructure your position has been eliminated!” Looking for full time work as she took part-time jobs, her life took a turn which she didn’t expect.  Starting to suffer seizures of various degrees, lead to a new path on her journey with Christ.

She has been seizure free since October 29, 2006 and works to encourage others who face challenges of any types.  She speaks on various subjects and can always make people laugh and then cry and of course leave them laughing.  Life is hard but God is good.
