Linda,
I often read the Flint Journal Newspaper web site because I lived in Michigan the first twenty-four years of my life. As a med-surg Registered Nurse, I have seen numerous patients and their families go through many different situations. My heart and prayers go out to you, your family and the family of the other person involved in this tragic and unfortunate life changing accident.
I know that all wounds are not physical. I pray God continues to heal and bless you and the other family in every way.
This story, your struggle to heal emotionally, and your faith is one that will bless the lives of so many people in many ways, as it has changed and blessed mine. You are a strong and enduring woman of faith. Praise God for people such as yourself.

Dear Doc:
Your comments as a medical professional are greatly appreciated. I pray for more professionals like you and the one’s I had that helped me to recover from such a tragic accident. I hope, not only to help others who are hurting but to also shed light to people in the medical field who can help those who need it. I see that light has already shined on you. May God bless you as you continue to be His hands and feet. Thanks, Linda

Hi there! Just wanted to tell you I saw your article in the Flint Journal this past Sunday(3/15/09) and it inspired me! I use to SUFFER a seizure disorder but though the grace of God I now LIVE with a disorder. I still have a problem telling people but it been since 1986 that I have had a seizure and take medication daily like religion. Its something that I need for life. I am recently unemployed and wondering where I can get my medicine but Walmart has a plan, I can still buy it there. See God works in mysterious ways. Thanks again and hope your book does well! Thank you, Nancy

Dear Nancy:
Thank you for sharing! It can be rough telling people about it but under the Americans with Disabilities Act you should not be discriminated against because of it. I know it still happens in workplaces because people don’t understand that we are able to do anything. I am glad that you have found peace with your disorder and with God. I hope others will be encouraged by your words. Also, I to wondered how I was going to get my medicine. I volunteered at the Genesee County Free Medical Clinic before I started to have seizures and they helped me to get medicine and help me to find the Neurologist, I feel saved my life and got my seizures under control. You may want to call them, there number is 810-235-4211. Tell them Linda Bennett had you call. You will have to show proof of income and fall into a certian income category, for certain services. They help many people who are not able to pay for medicines. They are not funded by the gov’t so any donation would be appreciated.
Also, if you know of any people who are willing to volunteer or if anyone is reading this that can volunteer please call. Help is needed. There are many Nancy’s and Linda’s right here in our area that need help from medical professionals. Just a few hours every three months can help many people. Tell them I heard Nancy needs me, so I came! They will understand!
Blessings to you Nancy,
Linda

Dear Linda,
By all the posts that I have read here, I hope that you have been lifted up on high! I anguish over trying to understand the pain that you and this family endured physically, emotionally, and mentally. When terrible things happen to good people, it is something the human mind has a hard time grasping. It is obscure and hard to fathom. I am so thankful to have the pleasure of reading a small portion of your story. I am thankful that you are able to tell that story. Your steadfastness and faith are an inspiration. Lastly, I am thankful to have had the pleasure of meeting you and working with you!
Thank you so much Linda Lou!

For the pleasure of meeting and working with you was all mine! I am grateful for the time I had to get to know you. I am also thankful for a medical professional such as yourself that has a heart which is soft to the pain that life can bring. I pray God will continue to lift you up as you continue in your quest for life, you have brought many joys to me, I can only imagine what joy He has in store for you as you reach others.
I will always be your Linda Lou

I work for a Flint Bookstore called PAGES and we had a customer interested in your book but they cannot get to a computer to order your book.
Are there local outlets where someone can purchase it?
Is there a way for someone to contact you if they wanted to set up a signing?
thanks.

Linda,
I just received your book today from my mom. It is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your story, it is very encouraging -as I am one to often get down on myself for messing up.

Dear Becca:
I am happy my book encrouraged you for I believe that is why God led me to write my story. Although, it was an accident I too felt like I had messed up, the Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda Syndrome is tough, the “if onlys” could go on forever. But God has a greater purpose for us. My heart earns to encourage those who go through tough and traumatic events, there is still hope He can still glorify Himself through all things and I am opening my heart for His will. God bless you Becca.

Linda,
I finished reading your book. God certainly has loved you and been with you every step of the way. He continues to use you to help others. I know life has its ongoing struggles. Until heaven it will always be that way. But I hope you never have to feel as desperate as you have in the past and never allow Satan to put any chains back on.
Love, Deb

Hi Linda,
We saw your article in the Davison Index and after reading about all that you had been through, we decided to go to your book signing. We were very blessed to get to meet you and after reading your book we were Praising God that you were able to forgive yourself and move on with your life! The hardest thing that any person on this earth has to do is to forgive themselves for the things in our past, but once you can get to that point in your life, you can really see Gods Blessings come forward. When we ask God to forgive us, He not only forgives us immediately, but He forgets, we on the other hand, not only cannot forgive ourselves, but we also have a hard time forgeting as well. Our prayer is that you will be able to help others by your experience. That is a blessing in itself that GOD CHOSE YOU to help others get through the tough times in their lives. Gods favor is definately with you!!!
Your brother and sister in Christ, Allan and Dawn Burley

Dear Allan & Dawn:
I remember meeting both of you and I thank you for not only reading my book put sharing your encouraging words. Your words will be posted for others who are struggling to forgive themselves. How true it is, God forgives and forgets. Quick fixes are rare in this world of hurt and heartaches, it took me years, many prayers by many people and of course the most important thing, forgiving myself. By His power we can overcome and move on. It is my goal to help others through this experience. I ask for your continued prayers as He opens more doors for my testimony to be used for His glory.

My Dearest Deb:
I am posting your comment in hopes that others who know of somone that is stuggling will realize the importance of what “loving” someone through the hard times means. Where would I be without the love and friendship you and Bob shared with me throughout my struggle? I remember the many conversations, many phone calls and many, many hugs from you both. God used you to be His hands and feet and heart when I was so mad at Him that I wouldn’t talk to Him, He provided you. You were His gift to me. May others be encouraged to hold on to thier hurting loved one as you and Bob did with me. May God bless you both for your love and service to Him.
I love you,
Linda

Dear Linda:
I finished reading your book and I cannot help but being impressed by your generousity and courage in writing it. Sharing so much of yourself, and your experiences to help others is such a brave thing to do. I have no doubt that your book has already helped and will continue to help many others. I am saving my second copy of your book to give to just the right person. Again thank you and good luck with all of your future endeavors.

Dear Debra:
Your comments are so encouraging, thank you! My goal to be honest and upfront with all that I was feeling has and I believe will continue, with help from people like yourself, to help others who face traumatic events in their lives. God Bless you as He leads towards the person who needs to read the book.

Linda,
I met you at the BIGGBY Coffee in Davison when you were greeting poeple and signing books. I bought one of your books and read it first, on your recommendation, and I am now going to pass it along to my son.
I am the mother that stopped in to share with you my son’s accident where a woman died as a result on his way home from UM Flint one mid-afternoon. You wanted me to read the book to know all the emotions he may still be going through and I can see them.
I had a question for you. Would you be willing to share the psychologist name and phone number you saw during your time of need and maybe still need to from time to time? My son has been seeing someone but I am looking into possibly finding someone else. I am looking for a good one and I think psychologists are like teachers, there needs to be a connection there for you to get the best benefit.
I hope things are going well for you these days and please stay in touch.
Sincerely,
Sherry L. Spencer
